Sports medicine is qualified to cope with pain and stiffness in joints caused by rheumatoid arthritis.
The University of Maryland Medical Center said to do sports for people with rheumatoid arthritis:
- Begin with moderate exercise and easy, such as stretch and flex without any other movement.
- Try doing easy exercise when your body feels ready.
- Add low-impact aerobic exercises in your routine, such as dancing, walking or swimming.
- Try tai chi exercise, because it can stimulate relaxation and increase flexibility in the joints.
- Do not do any type of exercise that can cause illness or pain.
